The Epistle to the Hebrews in the Light of the Triodion
Join us this Great Lent for a six-week Bible study exploring the Epistle to the Hebrews as it is prayed, sung, and understood in the Orthodox Church.
Each session is aligned with the Sunday themes of Great Lent and draws from:
The Lenten Triodion
Patristic commentary (especially St John Chrysostom)
Orthodox teaching on salvation, sacrifice, the Cross, and the Resurrection
Together we will see how Hebrews calls us not only to understand Christ, but to enter more deeply into His saving work through faith, endurance, repentance, and worship.
Week 1: Christ the True Image (Sunday of Orthodoxy)
Week 2: Entering God’s Rest (St Gregory Palamas)
Week 3: Endurance and the Cross
Week 4: Spiritual Ascent (St John Climacus)
Week 5: Repentance and Transformation (St Mary of Egypt)
Week 6: Salvation Accomplished — Cross and Resurrection (Palm Sunday)
